Leveling of a Mobile Home
Mobile home leveling: a crucial step not to overlook
Leveling a mobile home is a fundamental operation that must be carried out with rigor. Poor leveling can lead to structural deformation, making the opening of doors and windows difficult, or even impossible. To ensure correct installation, it is highly recommended to call on a qualified professional, who will rely on the leveling plan provided by the manufacturer.
It is also recommended to have the leveling checked one to two years after installation, especially if the mobile home is placed on loose soil. This check, performed by a professional, ensures the stability of the assembly and allows for necessary adjustments.
Warning: leveling a mobile home does not mean fixing it to the ground . According to the AFNOR NF S 56-410 standard, a mobile home must permanently retain its means of mobility. Therefore, it must be installed on blocks not fixed to the ground and stabilized using jacks or an equivalent system, allowing it to be moved at any time.
